[Basic]

I didn't realise it was so close to completion but Frozen Synapse just went into beta, with pre-orders getting access to it.

beta includes 4 play multiplayer, it has a very introversion kinda art style to it (but not as cool imo). however I'm a big fan of turn based games, shame I generally suck at them tho.

From the looks of it this is a simultaneous turn based game. So both sides make there there move and you watch to see what happens, perhaps a little less strategic than other turn based games, but it is quite fun.

Also it seems as if its buy one get one free for the beta.

hehe, after a quick shot of the tutorial, it feels like a complicated syndicate. haven't played anything else yet. but enjoyed what I've played so-far.

played a few of the single player stuff (now I have to do some work), is quite hard to just jump in, but think its really cool. quite oldskool in a way.

Been playing a bit, its a lot like the planning stage of the R6 games but with better orders and as the game is split into turns you can adapt your plan. The interface is pretty clunky at the moment but the gameplay is solid. Hoping to get a game with rocket launchers soon.

I played the demo, wasn't really hyped about it, still looks like a good game but I won't spend any cash on it.

Well the single player mission are crap tbh, I've played about 3 of them to get used to menus. Right now it's still in beta and they have only just started working on the single player aspect of it. Before it was just that for test reason I guess, not really meant for a full single player experience.
After I played MP I was hooked to the game and I've been playing it ever since. Think I've played about 700+ games so far.

This game is great, you need tactics and stuff. Multiplayer dark mode is where its at

is there like a trial version i can play? i kinda wanna give this game a go, but its not my normal gaming style so dont wanna buy it if it turns out to be complete gash.

There isn't really a trial. I think what omen did is downloaded the full version from the link on the page before then just played single player. It gives you a quick idea of the game, but it's still nothing like multiplayer. The AI currently is very easy to beat, players on the other hand...

Too many games to play now. Is problem. I've not touched FS for a month or more, currently I'm working my way up the BLC ladders and trying to find some people who want to team with me. EVE also takes up a lot of time because uh... skilltraining! Also there's the ardous Soldat training that's going on.

Not much gaming for me this weekend though, working mega shifts. When I get back on Sunday I'll play something but I'll be so tired my mind will hurt. Working with the same monkey-brain that I commented on the other week, he's a right muppet, proven twice today already (and he's been here for 2 hours). Today he shouted at me for going around whistling and snapping my fingers (which I tend to do and can be annoying), but instead of being nice like an adjusted person, he chose to scream at me that "there's something wrong with you, get help". Then when I tried to tell him that if he asked nice he might get a better result, he ignored me, much like a small child would. He's an idiotface.

Sorry for hijacking thread with emo-vent, but I had to get it off my mind heh. :D
