I was thinking about going bloodelf paladin. But I am nto sure what the paladins role is in raids and stuff.

Pally's can be Healer, Tank or DPS so its up to you what you want to do really but they are a fun class to play.

Omen are you new to WoW? I've already quit the game 3 times and raided at 4 level caps. You should play something new for once, instead of playing 6 almost 7 year old games... :S
