Neptune's pride is a space empire type game that runs in real time via a flash interface. The basics are very simple but winning it takes cunning, logic and diplomacy. A game can run for a very long time depending on players and map size. If there is interest we could run a DTE game, we need about 8 players to make it interesting.

It runs in real time and you can log on at any time to make your moves, which you need to do about once per day, perhaps more often if things get intense. But everything takes a lot of time, just reaching the closest stars generally takes hours of gametime. Travelling across one of the large galaxies can take weeks. The goal is to control 50% of the stars.

So I can start a game for us, but I wanna get a signup first and see who is interested. The game is free, requires no downloads and you can log in via a google account so getting started is stupid easy.

Please let me know if this sounds interesting.

I suggest we try to get into a free game together. If you aren't playing a free game allready you probably should be, you want to know the basics before you play with DTE. Once we have enough people I will pay for a "key" which will let me create a private DTE game.

I've been trying out Iron Helmet's other two games, Blight of the Immortals and Jupiter's Folly. They are similar to Neptune's Pride but have different and more advanced mechanics. I like all three games, they all offer something different. If you buy a key you get premium features in all games, so I'm thinking I may do that soon and we can have some trial games.
