I have been playing all the three free online strategy games of Iron Helmet Games.

In Neptune's Pride we are currently having a DTE practice game which I am really enjoying, and I am hoping that we will make a larger and longer game in the future. Nepturne's Pride is all PvP and there are no random game mechanics unlike in the two other games, and for both those reasons it is probably my favourite. If anyone wants to join in let me know and I will put you on the list for the next game. Meanwhile you can play in a public game and learn the basics.

Blight of the Immortals is fantasy themed and you work together against the zombie hordes. There is a PvP mode but it is not as rewarding as Neptune's Pride, I find it more fun to play together. I wouldn't mind a DTE coop game of this. Blight has more randomness in the game mechanics, both in combat in how the zombies move around the map.

Out of the three I probably like Jupiter's Folly the least. It has a similar game play to Blight but even more randomness with what cards (actions) each player is given, and the way troop movement works requires you to log in more often.

I am enjoying purple space helmets! not sure about the fantasy one tho

Yeh the space one is by far the best game, the diplomacy in it is awesome and there are no random game mechanics or AI to bog you down. I play the other two but they are more a distraction. I spend a lot of time sending diplomatic messages and making up strategies for NP. I have won my first game now although it was not a huge accopmlishment since everyone else slowly dropped off.

My plan is to get toghether the people that are enjoying this and invite some people that seem to be good players, and then have a massive game. The practice game has been set to play much faster than normal which has the disadvantage of logging in often has a huge advantage. Next game will be slower and thus more fair.

Some people tend to get genuinely upset about NP though, I have particularly noticed in the public games. I myself was getting a little upset but I kind of calmed myself down and remembered that it is a game and the point is to do ANYTHING to win. Anyway I will start a thread about a big game soon and start signups.
